He led the Detroit Red Wings to 4 Stanley Cup victories in 1950, 1952, 1954, and 1955. Gordie scored 801 goals with 1049 assists for 1850 points in his 1767 regular season NHL games. Gordie led the NHL in scoring 6 times and was named to the All-NHL 1st team 12 times during his career.
