The Enterasys 1600 Watt power supply has two front panel AC input power connector. This allows connection to a separately fused AC power source. When it is installed with an additional power supply, each of them is capable of sharing 50% (± 5%) of the power load in the Matrix E7 chassis. This provides redundancy and extends the life of the power supplies. If one power supply fails, the other supports the entire power load of the chassis without interruption to network traffic. |
