When two power supplies are installed and connected to power, each power supply will share half of the load of the system during normal operation but can supply the entire system load in the case of a power supply failure. The power supplies are hot-swappable, so when two power supplies are installed, one can be removed while the system is operational and replaced. Two power cords are supplied with each installed power supply - a standard 6-foot length power cord and a short 10-inch cord for in-rack direct connection to a power distribution unit (sold separately).
